There are several frameworks to think about how to deliver content.

Here are 4 easy ones…

Aristotle:

1. Tell them what you will tell them

2. Tell them

3. Tell the what you have told them

4MAT:

1. Tell them why it’s important;

2. Tell them what the important thing is;

3. Tell the how to do the important thing; and

4. Tell them what will have if they act on the important thing.

Story:

1. Describe what someone wanted and their context;

2. Describe what that person tried and failed based on the desire;

3. Describe what realisation they had based on what they tried and failed;

4. Describe what they tired differently based on the realisation they had;

5. Describe what happened based on what they tired differently; and

6. Describe how they saw the world differently because of it.

AIDA:

1. Get their attention;

2. Get them interested in the outcome;

3. Get them desiring the outcome; and

4. Get them to take action to get the outcome.

All of these frameworks achieve the same learning result.

And when they are distributed across multiple modalities and medium such as live, recorded, visual and audible you basically cover 99% of learning styles.
