AI Insights From Integrating Siloed Software…
Very soon we are going to see AI embedded into almost all software we use.
It will be on two fronts:
1) Semantic search — search data for patterns.
2) Generative output — take the patterns found in the data and make sense of it for humans. I.e. a summary.
Everyone from your email provider to your news outlet and most in between will do this and provide it for free as part of their service:
Large Language Models that allow this will (already have?) because so commoditized that even Bard and OpenAI don’t think they have a moat to other open-source models.
This is going to make like easier…
Instead of reading 100 emails in the morning, Gmail will give you a summary and the most urgent and important in order to address as well as when so it fits in with your calendar.
This is likely already a done deal.
What’s going to be harder is having the software you use do this, but not talk to each other.
There is no incentive for individual existing software systems to do this for users.
How does this relate to marketers?
You have all kinds of software you use:
1) Facebook Ads
2) Google ads
3) Google Search Console
4) Google Analytics
5) Ecomm analytics
6) Payment gateway
7) Ad nausea
All of these will give you insights into your data using AI very soon.
But they won’t talk to each other.
So I am building a prototype internally that links all these metrics together and generates insights across all the datasets.
For example answer questions like:
Why do your ads have cheaper but fewer clicks on a Wednesday evening but have no refunds? Etc, with the ability to chat with the data and ask follow-up questions.
Putting feelers out — would anyone be interested in volunteering some of their data to test in exchange for free access to the software?
