Are Tech & Startup Conferences Worthwhile?

Normally, I really DISLIKE like attending conferences…

Even though I like organizing them and I have organized many over the years.

My dislike is for many reasons:

  1. Mainly networking is hard (I am introverted amongst other things);
  2. Content is nothing ground-breaking (that I can’t be found on the net);
  3. It’s hard to take that time out of your day;
  4. It’s hard to work out transport/parking, food;
  5. Justifying it to significant other (if you have one);
  6. And so on…

Back in 2013 I chaired the Digital Marketing panel at the Southstart Conference.

Southstart is a technology & startup conference which is held in Adelaide, Australia each year.

And it’s back again in 2019: Tuesday 19 November from 5:30 pm to Thursday 21 November 5:00 pm.

I got a free ticket to the 2018 conference and decided to go despite disliking being an attendee.

I could only attend for a few hours, but what surprised me how inspired I was!

And that lasted for months-and-months after.

Sounds lame, but there is something about large, live events that simply boost your internal state like nothing else.

I don’t know what it is.

Now, as a former event organizer, I used to get inspired, but as an attendee I feel it so much more.

I could have paid a coach the Southstart ticket price and I wouldn’t have anything near that level of motivation.

Then there were spontaneous connections simply being in a hotspot of people.

Based on that value, I decided to become a ticket seller for Southstart this year.

But, to encourage you to buy through my link I have put together an exclusive package for Southstart you cannot get anywhere else — if you purchase a ticket to Southstart through my unique link, you are going to get the exact same offer from Southstart themselves for the the same price, but with bonuses only I am giving away.

Click here to check out the bonuses: http://rebrand.ly/259b7

And if I add any more bonuses to the package in the next few weeks, you will also get them for free too.
