How To Cold Pitch Someone…

Someone cold pitched me on LinkedIn.

It happens a lot.

I replied cordially and asked how it was working for them.

They leveled with me and said not great, so this is what I replied with…

Here is what I would do: grab a URL from a credible news outlet about why outsourcing software developers is a good idea or how to successfuly hire an outsourced software deveopler. Then I would send that URL plus the following style message in your own voice: “Hello, I see you run a software company and I found this article and I think it may interest you and your work. Hope it helps and have a great day.” Then I would wait a week or two and followup about what they thought of the article to help me understand where they are at. Try it out and let me know how it goes.

That last sentence is rhetorical.

I know it works.

I have done it for years and more importantly that is how real people communicate in real life.

You’re welcome.
