You spend months and months coming up with an ad that you think will crush.

You then pay for ad distribution.

It likely performs poorly.

If you are using digital ad platforms, and if you are smart, you continue to test new ad creative to try to do better than poorly.

You run out of funds and say “ads don’t work.”

It’s taken me dozens and dozens of post iterations over months and months, through testing the images, the headlines and the body copy to get one that performs really well!

I started with what I thought would work, didn’t overthink it, and posted it for free to people who know, like and trust me.

Then I continued to test new ad creatives — the images, the headlines and the body copy, to try to do better than poorly.

Then one stuck.

Through trial and error, I found what works…

What the market responds to, not what I thought the market would respond to.

That’s why your ads don’t work.

And it was not the one I expected would perform well.

But, I’m not the market, so my opinion doesn’t matter.

You have to throw a lot at the wall to see what sticks.

And in doing so you are marketing for marketing’s sake.

If, and when I decide to pay for ad distribution, I know it will work!

There is no guesswork.

Because it’s already working, I’m just adding fuel to the fire.

You’re looking for quick easy wins.

That’s not how it works.

You’ve been given the gift of being able to test for free.

Use it.
