Why ChatGPT Plugins Are Currently My Best Free Lead Source…
ChatGPT Plugins are currently my best free source of leads right now.
I think this comes down to two factors:
1) Supply and demand
2) Replicating Reverse Squeeze Pages
###
There are no reported statistics of how many people have access to GhatGPT Plugins (via the paid Plus options or as a developer), but I crossed 10,000 loads in 10 days across my 10 Plugins.
And with less than 400 Plugins, it’s pretty clear that there are more users than Plugin users.
This will only get bigger as soon as OpenAI opens ChatGPT Plugins up to the 150,000,000+ free users.
Simply put, it’s hard and takes time to build a ChatGPT Plugin.
But, just like the mobile app stores, it will become easier and quicker to do and the supply will increase making it hard to stand out.
Then, a Reverse Squeeze Page is literally the opposite of a traditional Squeeze Page:
A Squeeze Page, also known as a lead capture page, is a web page designed to collect contact information from visitors, typically in exchange for some valuable content or an offer.
It’s called a Squeeze Page because it squeezes the visitor into giving their contact information or exiting their webpage as there are no other outbound links or on-page distractions other than an opt-in form.
The purpose of a Squeeze Page is to capture leads and build an email list for selling.
A Reverse Squeeze Page does the same but in reverse.
Instead of collecting contact information from visitors first, and then delivering some valuable content or an offer, it focuses on providing visitors with valuable content without requiring them to provide any personal details or opt-in.
Then once visitors have got value from the content, then the ask for contact information from visitors is presented.
By delivering valuable content upfront, trust is built and credibility established, so it is easier to capture leads.
ChatGPT Plugins do exactly this, for now, until supply outstrips demand.
